My first birth experience was an induction gone wrong. Ended in an emergency C-section. If I had it to do over again, I would have never gotten induced, even though my entire body was itching SO badly! The second birth, less than three months ago, I wanted to try a VBAC. Thankfully, I had a obstetrician that was willing to let me try. Insurance wouldn’t cover a mid-wife or a doula, and we weren’t in any financial position to do it without insurance covering most of the bills. The Lord was gracious in letting me have a successful VBAC. I avoided being in the hospital, as long as possible (sharing similar fears as you about hospital stuff) and almost didn’t get there in time! Baby was born in 25 minutes of arriving in L&D.

My husband and I are planning on watching “The Dark Knight” at an IMAX theater while friends of ours watch our two little ones. I’m a bit nervous, because the movie is 2.5 hours long, and the drive is 20 minutes (at least) each way. Our youngest one is 2.5 months old. She’s been breastfed up until now. Never had a bottle. I’m planning on pumping this afternoon. . . She can go for 3-6 hours without nursing overnight. But she’s not consistent in how long she goes at night without food. We’ll see.

We went to get our Colorado driver’s licenses today. Mine is done. I must say, that’s the easiest renewal I have ever done. But, I hear it’s easier for transfers.
